How to Move Safely During the Coronavirus Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic is like nothing our country has ever experienced before. News is changing every day, and we all are wondering how we can protect ourselves during this time.

We want to share with you how Move Happy is responding to these changes. While our customers and employees are the heart of every move, and their health, safety, and happiness are at the forefront of our business, it is especially important during this time.

As a local and long-distance moving and storage company, Move Happy is committed to moving and relocating you safely during these times. We take our role as an essential service very seriously and we will continue to implement the suggestions from the CDC while we work to protect our customers and employees.

How Move Happy is Protecting You

Our team is committed to providing updates of any new federal, state, or local regulations. We follow all of the CDC guidelines and continue to educate and provide information for everyone involved in the moving process: customers and employees alike.

Here are some of the steps we are taking:

• All of our crew members are checked daily for COVID-19 symptoms
• Every morning we update our crew on safety protocol
• Uniforms are fresh, clean, and sanitized before and after every move
• Every Move Happy truck is equipped with a COVID-19 safety kit including face masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, surface sanitizer and soap
• All equipment (trucks, dollies, pads, etc.) are sanitized every day
• All employees wear a face mask indoors
• We utilize smaller sized teams to maintain social distancing protocol all while keeping your rates the same
• After every move all employees shower before returning home
• All documents are available electronically for easy, no-contact access

Here are some of the steps you can take:

• We recommend only 1 member of the house on-site during the move
• Provide access to running water for crew members to wash their hands
• Wear face masks and keep a 6 feet distance from crew members. We can happily provide you with a face mask.
• Sign documents electronically
• Utilize virtual video chats and apps to facilitate the moving process

The Move Happy team is fully operational during this time and our hours are extended to cover four time zones from Hawaii to NYC. We remain compliant with all government regulations and we are committed to providing you the same level of Move Happy service you know and love.
